The 3-1 defeat during his visit to Almería doomed Coudet’s cycle as a Celta de Vigo manager. In a conference, the former Rosario Central and Racing manager was honest: “I am sad. Grateful, because I think we have been up to the task and have given back a philosophy to the club.”

This is the first time Chacho has been fired from his position and has observed him. “In eight years, this is the first time I’ve been discharged,” he said, holding back tears. “It wasn’t the idea of getting excited, I thank you all, I was very good until I got here and saw so many dear people” said Coudet, now already wiping a few drops that fell from his eyes.

El Chacho acknowledged that he was surprised by this decision by the leaders, although he partially understands it: “I didn’t expect it in the middle of the season, my idea was to continue, but I respect it and I’m grateful to everyone”concluded the now former DT of the Spanish club.

Coudet has been managing Celta de Vigo since November 2020. In his first season he achieved an excellent position, finishing eighth close to the positions of international competitions, and in the second season he also completed a good season finishing in 11th. Unfortunately, in the current championship he does not find his way and is in 16th place, where he maintains only one point of advantage with the relegation places.

Coudet remained in his position as manager of Celta de Vigo for 720 days. At that time he directed a total of 84 games, winning 31 of them, drawing 19 and losing the remaining 34, thus finishing with an average of 1.33 points per game.
