Lionel Scaloni is just days away from the trip to play the World Cup in Qatar with the Argentine national team, and in the previous one he gave several notes. In one of these, with TyC Sports, he confessed for the first time which team he is (or was) a fan of: Boca.
“As a child, from Boca. Yes, yes … From Boca. Over time, at Newell’s because I spent my whole life. And now I would tell you from anyone because you totally lose your fanaticism”, explained the coach.
Quickly, the reporter Matías Pelliccioni recalled an old chat on the air in which the former footballer Javier McAllister was also present, where Scaloni’s affection for the yellow-blue shirt was made clear. It was in the program of the Mar de Fondo, where the interviewee said he wanted to take him to the Ribera club, appealing to his feelings about him, but in La Coruña (where Scaloni played) they did not want to negotiate him.
“I had the opportunity to go to Boca, River, Independiente … at different times. To return to Estudiantes as well. It didn’t happen and I ended my career there (in Spain),” replied Scaloni, a diplomat in escape -up to the World Cup.
