Former Vice President of Velez Sarsfield Guillermo Armentano He died after attending a radio hearing in which he heatedly discuss the club’s present. The man had a heart attack in the air and is eventually decompensated. He was taken to the hospital, where he eventually died.
Armentano had four children – one of them a young man from Fortín – and during his presentation to the program “Vélez a fondo”, broadcast by Frequency Zero and replicated on various social networks, he was seen with a beautiful face and no signs of that that I was passing by.
In the broadcast he had even expressed his desire to resume political activity and run for president in the next elections. In the three-year period 1993-96 he was part of the Board of Directors as 1st Vice President and for 10 years he held the position of Head of the Custody of the then President Carlos Menem.
His last words on the air were: “All I want is that we accompany Vélez”. After the closure, decompensated, he was transferred to the Santojanni hospital where he died.
After hearing the news, Vélez released a statement in which he expressed condolences to the former director’s family, who they described as “enthusiastic, dreamer, with a strong character but always ready for dialogue”.
“It was a story of the tribune, a Fortín fan who always fought for the unity of the political groups so that they again lead the club of their loves together”, represented him in Vélez.
