The Pumas 7s made their Hong Kong Sevens debut by beating Canada 36-0

Argentina’s team of seven, Los Pumas 7s, beat Canada 36-0 (PT 26-0) today in a Group D match of the Hong Kong tournament, which kicks off the 2022/23 circuit organized by World Rugby (WR ).

Argentina, led by Santiago Gómez Cora, beat Canada with goals from Marcos Moneta (2), Luciano González, Matías Osadczuk, Agustín Fraga and Tomás Lizazu, with three transformations from Santiago Vera Feld.

Argentina formed with González, Rodrigo Isgro, Fraga, Gastón Revol, Osadczuk, Moneta and Vera Feld, also joining Lizazu, Tobías Wade, Alejo Lavayén, Franco Rossetto and Joaquín Pellandini.

In the same group, Ireland beat Kenya 28 to 12. Argentina will play again tomorrow against Kenya (at 2:05 in our country) and Ireland (4:10), indicated as the official site of World Rugby .

The remaining rounds in the competition are as follows:

Group A: New Zealand, Australia, Hong Kong and Samoa.

Group B: France, South Africa, Great Britain and Uruguay.

Group C: Fiji, United States, Spain and Japan.

In their last performance, on September 10, the Los Pumas 7s lost in the quarterfinals to two-time world champions, New Zealand, 12-5, for the World Cup held in Cape Town, South Africa.

The second stage of the Circuit, which will see 11 in the men’s category and 7 in the women’s category, will take place in Dubai on 2 and 3 December.
