Lionel Scaloni and the entire Argentine national team received excellent news a few hours before leaving for Qatar to start dreaming of the World Cup which will begin in two weeks. Angel Di María returned to play after recovering from a muscle injury to his right leg that kept him out of the game for three weeks. The southpaw had injured his hamstring in his right thigh in the Italian squad against Maccabi Haifa in the Champions League last month. Although it was not a tear, Rosario’s man had to stop the balloon for more than 20 days in order not to rush his recovery and avoid suffering. Read more.

Everything is ready. There is no more waiting. The large Argentine delegation, led by coach Lionel Scaloni, gets on a private plane this Sunday at midnight with the suitcases loaded with the dream World Cup of an entire country. The national team leaves for Qatar to settle at the University of Doha and the first confirmed squad will be on charter: Franco Armani.
The River goalkeeper is the only player of the 26 who will travel with the national team coaching staff since he is in the country and joins the advanced Juventus team which is made up of about 50 people in total.
