Lusail stadium, which will host the final on 18 December, had the most fans at the World Cup since the 1994 final in the United States, according to FIFA. At the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California, 91,194 people watched as Brazil beat Italy on penalties after drawing 0-0 in regulation time.
Saturday’s attendance surpassed by hundreds the previous two meetings at Lusail Stadium, when Brazil beat Serbia and Argentina lost to Saudi Arabia.
