And is that to take advantage of this hot preview in the Qatari capital, a group of Argentines met with the only idea of playing an impromptu soccer match. But on the way of these Argentines he would have come across none other than a sheik from Qatar, who, seeing the group playing football, would have decided to collaborate with several packs of mineral water.

Even if the gesture would not stop there. And the story would end in a much bigger partnership.

A correspondent from TyC Sports in Qatar had the opportunity to speak with one of the Argentine fans who personally experienced this moment. The fanatic was interviewed while in charge of a huge barbecue, and when asked about the background of the meeting, he began: “We were playing football, and a sheik came with his truck, and it started to drop mineral water and ended up teaming with about 20 packets”.

We told them we wanted to have a BBQ, but they wouldn’t let us put it on the grill. He asked us who wouldn’t let us, and when we told him who, he said, “No problem.” In the end he made us put up the grill, brought us a carpet and cut us off,” said the Argentine, who at the time of the interview with the reporter was accompanied by dozens of Argentines waiting for their portion of the barbecue.

As if that weren’t enough, the sheikh in question went further: “He asked us what we needed, we told him meat, some hamburgers, whatever. He asked us for a moment and after 20 minutes he came down with 200 hamburgers, 200 buns, ketchup, everything… He gave it to us and all he said was, “Here, enjoy.” All these people are eating thanks to that sheikh,” he said.

This is further proof of how the Argentines manage not to leave customs aside, even in the Middle East. In fact, a few days ago the images of another group of Argentines at the head of another barbecue that had a particularity had gone viral. It happened in the Qatari neighborhood of Barwa, one of those with the most presence in Argentina. On this occasion the protagonists were a group of friends of Junín.

They, like many other Argentines, were trying to figure out how to enjoy a barbecue on the other side of the medium, and the solution they found went viral on the networks. In the absence of a grill, Argentinian fans borrowed a supermarket trolley from workers still working in several Doha buildings, thus managing to whip up a homemade barbecue.

The images, which showed the boys in full riot with a supermarket ‘monkey’ spilled on the sand and a couple of cuts of meat, exploded into the net. One of the protagonists spoke to Infobae, and said: “We had everything, but we didn’t have a grill. The day before we had taken a wagon into the neighborhood. We said, well we’ll do it there, the BBQ in the cart“.

The meat didn’t look very good to say. Some chicks and some choris, what was there. They didn’t tell us anything. The police drove by in golf carts. And last but not least, the neighborhood manager came and waited for us to finish grilling. There were no glitches or anything. It turned out the guy was nice,” said one of the fans, who also said the idea was to entertain another group of Argentines upon their arrival in Qatar.
