Raphael Varane and Ibrahima Konaté join the fever wave which is already affecting five players in the French squad.
Kingsley Coman was on the sidelines on Thursday a day after experiencing symptoms from a virus that struck Dayot Upamecano and Adrien Rabiot ahead of the semi-final against Morocco on Wednesday.
The former was on the bench, recovered from a fever, although he didn’t play because he was a bit out of shape, according to coach Didier Deschamps. As for Rabiot, he didn’t even go to the stadium and the next day he trained apart from the rest of his teammates.
France has always denied that it is a covid outbreak, although it has increased prudent gestures within the concentration to avoid further infections.
Deschamps indicated that it is a cold-related fever, due to the air conditioning and the drop in temperatures in Doha in recent days.
