Lionel Messi and Antonela Roccuzzo have been married since 2017. They’ve known each other since they were kids. She is the cousin of one of his best friends. The two ended up distancing themselves due to the athlete’s departure to Spain, when he was hired by Barcelona. However, their courtship was resumed during a trip from the Argentine back to his homeland. Then, in 2009, they came out.

The wedding officially took place on July 30, 2017, in the city of Rosario, Argentina, where both were born. The celebration was attended by many important players on the occasion.
