The soccer coach Newell’s old boys of rosary, Horace Garcia, died this Sunday and the news shook the Parque de la Independencia club. The leader, who was 63, was an extremely trusted man of coach Gabriel Heinze, with whom he worked closely to get the team together for the following season.
That same Sunday, García had participated with the president of Newell’s, Ignacio Astore, in the signing of the contract of Bruno Pitton, the latest reinforcement to join the institute. Hours later, the manager suffered a heart attack. It was impactful for all the people in the club as he was not suffering from any previous illness.
This Monday, Newell’s communicated the death of its collaborator through an official statement. Garcia had a long football career and was famous for his keen eye for spotting good prospects. He was also mad about the Rosario club and had a great friendship with Marcelo Bielsa.
