Lionel Messi’s days of partying and relaxation seem to be over. His plane landed in Rosario this Monday afternoon to travel to France in the next few hours, rejoin PSG and change chips after reaching the top of the world by becoming champion with the Argentine national team in Qatar 2022.

Although there has been no official confirmation, the possible departure time of the private flight would have been 10pm. That’s where Messi, his wife Antonela Roccuzzo and their sons Thiago, Mateo and Ciro will go. Perhaps some other member of his family with whom they shared these days of intimacy in a village in the city of Funes, 30 kilometers from Rosario.

So, the great celebrations on the Ricchieri motorway are over with a ‘traveller’ in one hand and the coveted World Championship in the other; the arrival by helicopter in Funes, the autographs for the neighbours; the “Festa del Campione” with colleagues (Ángel Di María and Leandro Paredes), family, friends and guests who wanted to share this special moment with the 35-year-old footballer.

On Tuesday, PSG coach Christophe Galtier announced that Messi would rejoin the squad between January 2 and 3, after spending Christmas and New Year with his family in Rosario.

Thus he missed the heartbreaking victory against Racing Strasbourg last Wednesday and the defeat against guard Lens, while he probably won’t be there on Friday the 6th, when he faces Chateauroux for the French Cup.

His official return to the field, therefore, would be Wednesday the 11th against Angers, for Ligue 1.

a farewell book

Lionel Messi received this Monday a signed book dedicated by some of his neighbors in the private neighborhood where his home in Rosario is located. It was moments before he wrapped up his vacation following his crowning as world champion in Qatar 2022 and returned to France to rejoin Paris Saint-Germain.

According to Juan Félix Rossetti, administrator of the Kentucky Country Club, the captain of the Argentine team, who touched the sky with his hands on December 18, received a book in which the co-owners left him messages and greetings.

The delivery of the copy took place privately, through the footballer’s family environment, who sent to the administration of the exclusive district -located in the municipality of Funes, in the urban belt of Rosario-, two photos of Messi who receives it inside from his home .

Rossetti, in statements to the agency EFE extensionunderlined that the player will return to Paris this Monday.
