His last post on social media was a tribute to former soccer player Pelé, who died a few days ago. In the post, he recalled the photo of their meeting and praised his professional colleague.

“Saddened by your departure, my idol Pelé. The best of the best! Reference within football for all of us players. I am very proud of having met you and wearing the same shirt number 10 that you so masterfully immortalized. Thank you for everything! The longing is already great”he said at the time.

Roberto Dinamite had been fighting bowel cancer since 2021. This weekend, he had a worse health condition and was admitted to Rio de Janeiro, but he could not resist and passed away this Sunday morning, at the age of 68.

Bruno Mazzeo mourns the death of Roberto Dinamite

After the news of Roberto Dinamite’s death became public, comedian Bruno Mazzeo appeared crying on social networks. On video in Instagram stories, he cried when saying goodbye to the idol.

“Whenever they ask me: ‘Are you Vasco because of your father?’ I always answer no, that I am Vasco because of Roberto Dinamite. Thank you, my idol, my friend, for so much you’ve done for us. Long live Roberto Dynamite! The biggest of all”he said with tears streaming down his face. Mazzeo is the son of comedian Chico Anysio.

In a post on his Instagram feed, Bruno Mazzeo recalled a photo next to his football idol. “Whenever they ask me if I am Vasco because of my father, I answer: “No. I am Vasco because of Roberto Dinamite”. I can’t write any more now, the tears keep flowing, my hands are shaking. I’m inconsolable. Thank you Bob, my idol and friend. Thanks for so much. For everything. Long live our greatest of all“, he wrote.
