In addition to the victory of Vélez, other good news was given by the return of captain Lautaro Gianetti, after a prolonged inactivity due to a ligament injury.

The only goal of the match was converted, from a penalty kick in the 43rd minute of the first half, by the man who was ultimately chosen as the star of the match, striker Lucas Janson. This instance was caused by an error in the departure of settler goalkeeper Ignacio Chicco.
