The Return to San Juan It will again have a new function on provincial routes after two years, as it cannot be performed due to the coronavirus pandemic. In just 10 days, the cycling-loving province will receive some of the best cyclists in the world from the 22 to 29 from January.

In those days he will have the Vuelta seven stages in different paths that will add 1,143 kilometres. To enjoy the most important race on the continent corresponding to the category UCI Pro Series -the second international level- a large audience is expected.

Among the exceptional cyclists who will compete for victory there will be the Belgian Remco Evenepolwho will be the defending champion since taking victory in 2020, the Colombian Fernando Gaviria, the Slovak Peter Sagan, who will make his third participation in the Vuelta, and the Irishman Sam Bennet, among others.

The Colombian will be too Egan Bernalalready recovered from injuries sustained in an accident against a bus that was parked on the street while he was training early last year. The continuity will be from San Juan Villicum to Barrial over 196 kilometers, the fifth will be from Chimbas to Alto del Colorado over 173 kilometers and the sixth will be completed with the start and finish at the new San Juan Vicente Chancay velodrome over 144 kilometres.
