What does Independiente want to sell Sergio Barreto to Boca?

At the same time, they have warned from Paraguay that they too are interested since, moreover, Barreto has the nationality of the neighboring country. The Asunción box could offer in the next few hours. And in this case, Red’s claims are exactly the same as Boca’s.

Leandro Stillitano, the Rossoneri coach, has Barreto among the untouchable owners of his defence. But it is very clear that if the numbers are closed to Independiente, he will lose the Czech from one day to the next before the start of the championship.

“Until some time ago, when I asked, there was no news on the Barreto issue. For us, he is a very important player, but we know that there is a possibility that he could leave,” the coach said on Monday in an interview with TyC Sport.

For now, the defender born in Clorinda, province of Formosa, is training with the Independiente team at Villa Domínico, waiting for what the future holds for him in 2023. Will he continue in Avellaneda, move to La Boca or head to Asunción?
