Wolf, 24, is playing in his first Australian Open but last season picked up valuable wins against Holger Rune of Denmark and Denis Shapovalov of Canada.

The first set was settled in just 26 minutes with an irregular Schwartzmann, who improved her serve a bit in the second set. However, the American broke serve in the ninth game (they were 4-4), and won the second set, a situation that was repeated in the third of the same game.

El Peque summed up the hard defeat with an Instagram story in which he is seen suffering from the match and with two emojis depicting the beatings suffered on the pitch.

Wolf will now play against his compatriot michael mmoh (109 in the ATP and 25 years old) who gave the surprise by beating the German Alexander Zverev (13) for 6-7 (7-1 tie break), 6-4, 6-3 and 6-2.

Now the only Argentine who continues in the Open is Francis Cerundolo (30 in the standings and 24 years old) who tomorrow will play in the third round against the Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime (7 and 22 years old).
