Aurélien TchouameniReal Madrid’s French midfielder had to apologize on his social media this Thursday after his trip to Paris to watch the NBA game between the Chicago Bulls and the Detroit Pistons live, at the time when his club was playing the Copa del Rey against Villarreal.
“I apologize to my club, the coaching staff, my teammates and the Real Madrid fans for my presence at an event at a time when we were playing in the Cup. I was always attentive to what was happening at the Villarreal, but I didn’t do the right thing. I’m very sorry” Tchouameni wrote on his official Twitter account.
The French midfielder, one of the players in Didier Deschamps’ team that lost the World Cup final in Qatar against Lionel Messi’s Argentina -and who missed a shot on penalties-, was absent from La Cerámica due to a muscle injury to the soleus, which will also prevent him from playing on Sunday in San Mamés against Athletic Club in LaLiga.
