The Professional League begins and the ‘neutrals’ return: 8,000 River fans can be in Santiago del Estero

During that year, River returned to playing others three times in that stadium, two against Central Córdoba, for the League Cup and the Professional League, but, due to the same situation, there could be no fans. Until they managed to be present in the final of the Champions Trophy, in which Núñez’s team beat 4-0 against Columbus of Santa Fe. By then, pandemic restrictions on crowds had been lifted and the stadium was full, with “Millionarios” and “Sabalero” fans.

In that game there was a lot of red and white everywhere and a huge display of River flags. But, in this case, the ‘millionaire’ fans will have to be be careful and don’t wear the shirt or club colors to avoid problems.

River fans who will attend the Madre de Ciudades on Saturday will meet a tribute to Franco Armani, to which they will be able to applaud on the pitch.
