With less than a month to hang up his boots, the former Real Madrid ex is competing in the Pebble Beach Pro-Am, a tournament featuring 156 amateur players paired with a professional. He is paired with the American Joseph Barmlett and already shows all his skill.
During this Thursday’s action in California, in which the Bale-Barmlett duo delivered a -7 card, the Welsh surprised with a blow from a paved path with which he managed to leave the ball a few centimeters from the hole. It was a great “approach” or approach shot, one of the hardest in that sport as it requires a good deal of focus and pulse.

The World Cup of Qatar 2022 explained that playing: “I couldn’t play it properly because there was a string in front of me. During the practice strokes I hit the string, so now I had to gear up, grab her low and hit her on the bench,” detailed.
“I was lucky, but I got the shot I was thinking of and tried to take. Then I asked the cameraman if he had captured that moment,” he concluded with a laugh.
