Damar HamlinA Buffalo Bills player who suffered cardiac arrest during a game in January attended the Super Bowl LVII preview this Sunday at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
With a huge ovation from the entire audience, Hamlin was greeted in center field along with the medical services of the Bills and Cincinnati Bengals saving his life.
On Monday, January 2, Hamlin suffered cardiac arrest during the Bengals-Bills duel, which was the final game of Week 17 of the 2022 NFL season and was suspended for this serious incident.
The 24-year-old defender collapsed on the grass after a play in which he tackled an opponent.
He received cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) twice from paramedics inside the camp, and once stabilized, he was taken by ambulance to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
The player was placed on an artificial respirator in critical condition for four days. On January 6, he was removed from the breathing aid and from that moment he began to recover until he was discharged.
Hamlin will thus be one of over 70,000 spectators expected this Sunday for the Super Bowl between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs.
