The celebration of Carnival in the Argentine Republic has recovered space in recent years and, a few hours ago, also caused the schedule change of one of the most important matches that the fourth round of the Lega Professionisti will have. Is that, after the approval of the AFA and the security bodies, Tiger will receive River next Saturday but from 6pmand not at 21:30 as expected.
This was established in a meeting in which the mayor of San Fernando, Juan Andreotti, representatives of the AFA and the head of Aprevide, Eduardo Aparicio, who modified the program to be able “ensure the normal development of carnivals in the neighborhood” where the José Dellagiovanna stadium is located, home of the ‘Matador’.
“The national holiday of Carnival is sacred. It is an expression of popular culture as important as a football match. For this reason we were able to come to an agreement and find a moment in which the match could take place without affecting the carnival celebrations in the Municipality of San Ferdinand”argued Aparicius.
As a result of this change, the match between Newell’s AND Banfield (was scheduled at 7:15pm same day) happens at 9pm.
