They played together and were champions of the Reserve at the hands of Sebastián Battaglia. Then they were under the orbit of Hugo Ibarra, also in Inferiore. One grew up in Brandsen 805 (he will complete 81 games at the institute, a record for a young player in the decade) and the other gained his experience in Victoria, where he reached the 2022 League Cup final with the Tiger.now is the time for reunion. The place? The central circle of the bombonera. They are Alan Varela and Ezequiel Fernández, two guys from Boca Predio.

It will only be the eighth meeting of It’s here in the mouth. And even if he had to jump on the field in those matches against Banfield AND Saint Lawrence of 2021 in which all the youth teams played (in full pandemic) is only now formed to jump from the start. Already in Córdoba, against Talleres, he played 45 minutes (he had to convert a goal against). And 20 minutes were shared with Varela in midfield against Atletico Tucumán AND Central Cordoba. Now Ibarra will give them a clue to change the face of Boca in the match against Platense.

It will not be another change. Because in addition to replace Juan Ramírez (one of the lowest moments of these three days) with which he will share the work of recovery and also of creation Pol Fernández. Something similar to what Equi did in the Tiger playing with Prediger and close to Lucas Menossi. Can that idea be replicated at Boca?

Ball possession will be important for Ibarra. For this reason, in addition to playing Equi, Varela e pol Fernández will once again give the role of conductor to Oscar Romero, no longer affected by team or gang recoil. His task will be to let Boca play, something the Paraguayan did drop during the first three dates, even if not with such a structured order.

Another of the Boca Predio boys who will start is Luca Langoni, who will come on for Sebastián Villa (he received a one-date ban for sending off against Talleres) to position himself as a winger. And although Ibarra moved him to different positions, in the end the game will start on the left wing, the one that will no longer have Frank Fabra (Agustín Sández will play for him), Ramírez or Villa. A complete mutation.

The striker, with another substitution forced by Nicolás Orsini’s injury, will be Michael Merentiel. And so, the former Defensa y Justicia e Palmeiras will make his debut as a regular for the squad in just three weeks at the club. It will be special for him too: at the next appointment Dario Benedetto will be back in the squad (he will complete the 5-day disqualification) and there the manager will have to lean towards one or the other. And together? A lot will depend on what happens against Platense this Sunday.
