Rio de Janeiro ATP 500, day 2: Francisco Cerúndolo and five other Argentine tennis players make their debut on Brazilian clay

In case of winning, Juanma Cerúndolo will play the round of 16 against the Brazilian Thiago Monteiro (83), who beat the Austrian on Monday evening Dominic Thiem (96) to make it 6-1, 3-6 and 7-6 (7-2).

Schwartzman (38), from Buenos Aires, plays not before 21:00 on the center court Guga Kuerten against the Serbian Dusan Lajovic (80), and if he passes it, another Serb will touch it later, Laslo Djere (57), who eliminated the Argentine on Monday Facundo Bagnis (87) after beating him 6-2, 3-2 and retiring.

In case of progress to the round, Báez will play his next match against the Frenchman Hugh Gaston (106) or the Peruvian John Paul Varillas (81), the surprise of the Argentina Open with its access to the semifinals.

Bell’s Cordovan Ville Cachín (59), for his part, plays no earlier than 4.30 pm on court number four with the Colombian Daniel Elahi Galan (88), and if he passes it, it will be up to the winner of the cross between La Plata Tomás Martin Etcheverry (75), which is presented below in Spanish Alberto Ramos Vinolas (47) on the same court.

Favorite for the title and also defending champion is Alcaraz, who lifted the seventh trophy of his career in Buenos Aires on Sunday.
