“The idea that the president likes best Joanna Laporta for the culés to pay tribute to Messi is for the 2024-25 season, when the team will return to the Camp Nou with the work already completed and coinciding with the club’s 125th anniversary,” the Catalan newspaper published today Sports world.

The tribute proposal would have been part of the conversations that George Messi Lionel’s father, would have had a few days ago with Laporta in Barcelona where -according to what has been discovered- both parties met to try to “normalize” relationships and bring positions closer.

The information recalls that Messi parted ways with Barcelona when, after “negotiating” his continuity, he was told by the club that “his contract could not be renewed” and the Argentine star left “in tears”.

Laporta himself confessed after that situation that he still has a plug “nailed” with Messi and that he wants to take it off.

For his part, Jorge Messi, after meeting with the president of the Barça club, said a few weeks ago that he did not believe his son would play for Barcelona again: “The conditions are not met,” he said..

For this, and in addition to “testing” the plans of the future Messi (with a contract in psg until June of this year), Laporta’s interest has mainly focused on talking about the tribute match that Barcelona has pending so that the Argentine can be fired by the Catalan fans.

Messi played nearly two decades at the club and it was with the Barcelona fans that he shared most of his sporting successes.
