Key Alves leaves his future in volleyball open: “I have to decide if this is what I want”

Soon after leaving the BBB 23, Key Alves (23) is already thinking about his future outside the most guarded house in Brazil. And the volleyball player has already made an important decision: she will not return to the sport this year.

With a left knee injury, suffered in 2022, the now ex-sister will focus on surgery and then recovery. Furthermore, she left her career sequence open.

In a chat with Gshow after the elimination, she explained: “But now in the beginning, impossible [voltar ao vôlei]. I have to have a surgery that takes nine months. So, at least this year and until next year I won’t play again. I have to wait a little longer and really decide if this is what I want in my life. Going back, having surgery, there’s a whole process”.

Key Alves tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during a match in October 2022.

However, despite having said that he is not going back to volleyball now, Key stressed that he wants to continue in the sport in the future.

“It was the injury I had a few months before being invited [para o BBB 23]. That messed with me a lot. I really hope to continue, because I’m very young and I still think I have some time to pursue my career as an athlete. But it’s something that moves me a lot, in my head, this injury I had”Key concluded.

Key Alves gave the talk on social networks when his salary in the sport was revealed. The athlete had an increase in recent seasons on the volleyball team, but even so, she resorted to an adult content platform to supplement her income.
