Just over four years after his retirement from the courts, Paul Guinazu will wear the shirt of Juventud Agrario de Corralito and will play soccer again in the Riotercerense Soccer League (regional tournament of Córdoba). The footballer was listed in good faith before the start of the tournament and will sign a contract in the next few days.
El Cholo ended his professional career at the age of 40 when he played for Talleres. After a period of inactivity, he will return to the field to play in Corralito’s modest team. The footballer would be available for the second championship round.
The club gave a glimpse of what was happening through an enigmatic video they posted through their social networks. In this short you can see the number ‘5’ shirt that the player will wear and a mobile phone that receives the message “Inscrilo quevenire!!!”along with a heart-like eyes emoji.
The president of the club, Juan Manuel Rivoira, spoke about the importance of this signing. “The League pass market closes. We signed him up to have ten days. Create a grand illusion for us. We are very close, but we want to be respectful with him…”, confirmed the leader.
“We proposed to him, he asked for time to think about it and yesterday we called him and he said yes,” confessed Rivoira and added: “The fact that such an important person has thought about playing here speaks volumes for the club. He created a stir at the club and across the league.”
Cholo’s experience as a DT
After hanging up his boots, the former Newell’s and Independiente player began his coaching career. in 2021 He took care of Atletico Tucumán but he was short-lived in the post. With four losses and two draws, he was fired in just six dates.
The following year he took over at Sol de América in Paraguay and, despite staying longer than at the Dean, results weren’t with him either. He has managed 23 matches in which he only succeeded five wins, six draws and losses in the remaining 12 games.
When will Juventud Agrario de Corralito debut?
El Tricolor will make his debut this Friday before July 9, but, logically, Cholo will not be part of the team. He should join training this weekend and may be available to visit the Deportivo Italiano at the second appointment of the Lega Calcio Riotercerense.
