While defender Emanuel Mammana is preparing to return to the bench at River, after recovering from a torn left hamstring, he has suffered a severe blow in the last few hours: criminals looted and caused great damage at its “Mammana Fútbol Club” football school, located on the Camino de la Ribera and Antezana, in Merlo.
The defender used his personal social media accounts to vent his anger and file the complaint: “Dear friends, we want to share with you the sad news we encountered today… They stole!!! Another time“, Mammana began with his release, suggesting that it is not the first time that his structures have suffered this type of attack.
“The saddest thing is that, in addition to destroying the structures, Elements of our Football School have been taken. Materials that our boys play with, who arrive full of illusions and the desire to enjoy every workout,” continued the Slumdog Millionaire defender.
“It hurts us a lot and we are sorry to take this leave because so much work and commitment has been dedicated to this dream, by and for the boys. We will not give up for them”He continued with the message on Instagram.
At the end of the message, and as a plea, Mammana asked the criminals “to let them work in peace”.
“That’s why, gentlemen. ‘friends of the alien’ They didn’t just joke with us they messed with the kids… maybe neighbors from the same neighborhood or community. If by any chance you get this message, we want to ask for mercy, please we work in peace for the boys and for all the residents of Merlo”, he closed.
In May of last year, the River defender opened this complex, in his hometown, to do just that take the kids off the street and kick them out. The sports facility has soccer and paddle courts.
The River defender had had an excellent preseason, having been a big player in the first friendlies with Martín Demichelis as DT. He had also scored two goals.
But following his debut in the local tournament and before traveling to Córdoba to face Belgrano, he suffered a torn left leg on 3 February which sidelined him for almost a month and a half from the starting squad.
