Formula 1: Verstappen delayed his trip to the Saudi Arabian GP by a day due to illness and will arrive just in time for practice

The reigning double world champion of Formula 1, Max Verstappen (Red Bull), ill in recent days, delayed his arrival Saudi Arabiawhere the second Grand Prix of the season takes place this Sunday, he himself indicated this Thursday in Chirping.

“I feel better after suffering from a stomach virus for a few days. Unfortunately, I had to delay my flight by one day, so I won’t be on the circuit before Friday,” the Dutchman wrote on social media.

Verstappen was due to attend a press meeting in Jeddah on Thursday, on the eve of Friday’s one the first two free practice sessions.

“Max has had stomach problems for the last few days and, with FIA approval, will not be in the paddock today (Thursday),” wrote the team. Red Bull.

Verstappen was the winner two weeks ago in Bahrain of the first race of the 2023 Formula 1 season.
