Sebastián Beccacece is the new coach of Elche in Spain, Christian Bragarnik’s team

Beccacece, whose representative is the same Bragarnik, owner of Elche, he will direct the first work session this Wednesday together with his technical staff with their new players.

The coach from Rosario has a long experience on the South American benches and was Jorge Sampaoli’s second coach in various teams and in the Chilean and Argentine national teams.

He made his debut as a coach at the University of Chile, from which he moved on to Defensa y Justicia, Argentina’s Under 20 team, Independiente, Racing and again to Defensa y Justicia, with which he won the Recopa Sudamericana. This will be his first experience in European football.

Beccacece, who was already in Elche’s orbit last season, will be the fourth coach of the Elche squad this season after Francisco Rodríguez, Jorge Almirón and Pablo Machín.

Club coaches Sergio Mantecón and Alberto Gallego also led the team on an interim basis.

Elche’s squad includes Argentines Axel Werner, Lisandro Magallán, Lautaro Blanco, Nicolás Fernández Mercau, Lucas Boyé and Ezequiel Ponce.
