“His wife is a prisoner”: the harsh confession of the man who brought Schumacher to Formula 1

Michael Schumacher He had an accident in December 2013 while skiing in the French Alps and his health status is unknown since then. In September 2021, Netflix released a documentary about the pilot’s life, and while fans of him expected to know more details about his health, none of this happened.

However, Corinna, Schumacher’s wife, made a generic reference to the subject which fills everyone with mystery: “We are together, we live at home together, we do therapy and do everything we can to make Michael the best way possible and also for you to feel our family connection. We try to carry on as a family, the way Michael always liked it and still does. We continue to live our lives like this. Private is private, as Michael always said. So it’s important to me that he can continue to enjoy his private life as much as possible. Michael has always protected us and now we protect him. Whatever happens, I’ll do everything I can, every day.”

Eddie Jordan was friends with the seven-time Formula 1 champion and which made him debut in the top motorsport category in 1991, at the age of just 22, in the team that bore his surname. And, in the last few hours, the man who can be considered his mentor has broken the silence: “This is the most horrific situation for Corinna (from his wife). He hasn’t been able to go to a party or lunch for almost ten years, he is like a prisoner Because everyone wants to talk to her about Michael, when she doesn’t need to be reminded every minute.

Jordan, like many others, cannot go to visit the pilot due to the rules imposed by his wife, however, far from getting angry, he declared: “I tried several times to go and find him some time ago, but she refused and it seems to me that it is in her right because many people wanted to visit her”. She also explained that Corinna gave him a reason not to visit: “We love you Eddie and have been with you for a long time, but we need privacy and care for Michael.”
