Vélez is not having a good moment in football. And fans claim. So this Monday they met again at the main gate on Juan B. Justo Avenue, but unlike on Wednesday after the defeat in Central Córdoba, the three leaders went down to talk to the people.

More than a hundred fans gathered to ask for explanations for the poor football the team was presenting. As a result, the president, Sergio Rapisarda, the first vice president, Diego González, and the second vice president, Adrián Peláez, emerged.

In a tense environment, the conversation escalated. At one point, an elderly member scolded Rapisarda and Peláez, someone ran into him from behind and incidents began. There were shouts, running, insults, and the directors had to take shelter inside the club.

Before the fans march, Rapisarda spoke about the party program Sabado Velez: “The management is responsible for this moment in #Vélez. To say otherwise is not true. I agree that the fan is expressing himself, as long as it is with respect. They have all the rights. “

This Tuesday, Vélez hosts Nacional de Montevideo for the third date of the Copa Libertadores. They need to win to continue with chances in the latter part of the group stage. So far they have only one point, after beating Estudiantes 4-1 at La Plata and tied 2-2 with Bragantino at Liniers.
