URBA Top 12: the new season starts with new regulations

The team finishing last in the regular phase will be relegated directly to Primera División A (seconds), while the team ranked 11th will have to play a match against the runners-up in the promotion category to determine which side will perform in the Top 12 of 2024.

The launch of the season was held at the Club Gimnasia y Esgrima de Buenos Aires, in the presence of the captains and managers of the 90 URBA clubs, presidents and authorities of the institutions, representatives of the sponsors and members of the board of directors of the Union, chaired by the President Rafael Silva.

Tournaments in the Women’s Rugby, Business, University and Youth Divisions will kick off in late March and early April. URBA organizes 400 matches each weekend, attended by more than 40,000 players across all its divisions, 350 official referees and more than 5,000 volunteers.
