When it seemed like everything was going to be a friendly preview, based on the quality of the game that was going to be played, it all ended in chaos. THE Peruvian team is located in Spain looking forward to playing this Tuesday a friendly against Morocco and in front of a flag raised by Latin American fans, the players decided to go without knowing that everything would get out of control and in a confrontation with shoving and insults towards the Spanish police.
In the beginning it all started in the best way: with photos, autographs and songs in the form of encouragement. But due to little police force in that situation, it all got out of hand and caused some crossings between players and members of security. It all got worse when several fans ended up joining the situation.
Chaos ensued as officials tried to set up a police cordon to protect Peruvian footballers, but fans started pushing each other because they wanted to stay close to the team. The troops did not take long to react, also provoking the response of the fans.
The images are eloquent: they have attacked what they have encountered, ever since some Peruvian players have been confused with the rest of the fans and attached to their side. Attempts to calm things down were unsuccessful and that’s how the same teammates started defending each other.
Many of the players even had to leave the place and take refuge as they were present with their children, as was the case with Luis Advincularight side of the Boca.
The fight was hard to stop. Many footballers were surprised by the actions of the referees, but this did not prevent the beatings and insults from stopping. The most affected turned out to be alex valera, Peter Welsh AND Yoshimar Yotuncoming to appear in some of the videos showing the uproar caused.
“they punched us”, the Peruvian goalkeeper said angrily after the scandal generated and for which he had to be taken to the police station for a few hours. He finally broke free and returned to concentration to try and focus on the friendly against Morocco.
