The nineteenth edition of the championship Sub 17 South American which will yield four slots for the category World Cup which will take place at the end of this year in Peru will start this Thursday in Ecuadorwhere nine of the 10 participating teams will try to access those places, as the Incas are classified by being the hosts of the ecumenical event.
This South American will take place between March 30 and April 23 in the Ecuadorian cities of Quito and Guayaquil, while the World Cup will take place in Peru between Friday 10 November and Saturday 2 December this year.
The players who will take part in this competition will be those born on or after January 1, 2006.
The venue for the first phase will be Guayaquil, which will host it in the Cristian Benítez and George Capwel stadiums, Conmebol reported, while the final phase will take place in Quito, with the designated venues those of Atahualpa and Rodrigo Paz Delgado.
The tournament will take place in two stages.an initial group from which the top three of each of them will emerge, which will subsequently integrate a final hexagon in which all against all will face each other in search of the number of World Cup places mentioned.
These two groups of five members each will be divided as follows: in Zone A they will host Ecuador, Chile, Uruguay, Brazil and Colombia, while Argentina, directed by Diego Placentewill compose the B together with Paraguay, Peru, Venezuela and Bolivia.
In the first stage, each team will play four matches against all rivals in their group, and if they qualify for the final round, they will once again play another five rounds against each of the rivals entering that instance.
