Independiente has filed a criminal complaint against the Moyanos for “fraudulent administration and money laundering”

Verón joined Independiente from MLS franchise New York Red Bull under the Moyanos in January 2018. The footballer demanded a total of $6,149,689.63 from the club (including interest) for non-payment – including salary and compensation for his free exit from the North American entity-. Finally, the Labor Court 2 of Avellaneda forced him to pay the player more than two billion pesos.

Instead, Independiente denounces that in the purchase of Domínguez “the club used and committed payments to two different agents/intermediaries for the same transaction”, while in the transfer of Jorge Nicolás Figal to Major League Soccer, “the amount of the transfer of the player, and in particular the transfer of the balance to be received, in an amount less than the nominal”.
