In less than three months, the contract for Lionel Messi with Paris Saint-Germain will come to an end. With no renewal in sight and rumors multiplying about possible clubs wanting to stick with the world champion Argentine in Qatar, PSG made an omission in announcing this Saturday’s match, against Nice for the 30 of the championship 1.

The poster uploaded to the French team’s Twitter account has five players and none of them are the best in the world. On the contrary, the elect were Sergio Ramos, Gianluigi Donnarumma, kylian mbappe, marquinhos AND Warren Zaïre-Emerythe new jewel of French football.

Although Messi’s is not the only important absence in a team full of stars, it is striking that he does not appear after a week in which there was much talk about possible negotiations with Barcelona in an interested Spanish press.

As if that weren’t enough, him Paris Saint-Germain tries to get out of its deep crisis. After the early elimination -again- of the Champions League in the hands of Bayern Munich, the French team fell into a well and rack up two consecutive losses -against Rennes and Lyon- for the French tournament.

This is the negative streak he will try to break this Saturday by visiting Nice (from 4pm, on Star+).

With Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe Right from the start, the team led by Christophe Galtier needed a victory to extend their lead over Lens to six points, which they won this Friday (2-1 against Racing Strasbourg with a goal by Facundo Medina) and reached share 60 points, three less than PSG.

For Messi it will be an opportunity to demonstrate all his football without the inconvenience that the Parisian public has presented him in the last two games at the Parc des Princes. There, the PSG “ultras” blew a whistle from the stands and entered the pitch which rang in the ears of Rosario world champion with the Argentina national team in Qatar 2022 and holder of The Best FIFA award for the best footballer on the planet.

There are many rumors that the Argentinian will leave PSG in June, when his contract with the Parisian club expires which has capitals of Qatar. Messi has the option of returning to Barcelona to finish his European football cycle at the club with which he achieved everything; even if a possible landing in football in Saudi Arabia is also hypothesized. We’ll have to wait.

For his part, Mbappé also accused the club and the scandal broke. The French striker published a post on his social networks in which he harshly criticizes PSG who used – according to the footballer – his image of him for a season ticket sales campaign without notice. The 24-year-old striker’s release has not gone down well with the board he chairs Nasser Al-Khelaifi and the former Qatari tennis player with close ties to Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the current Emir of Qatar, decided to visit the players during a training session.

Al-Khelaifi was shown on the pitch at Camp des Loges, PSG’s training centre. There he was seen chatting with Luis Campos, the sporting director of the Parisian cast, and also with Christophe Galtier, the coach of the team.

Furthermore, according to what was published by the French outlet Le Parisien, the president of the Parisian institution entered the locker room and gave a speech to the players, in a tone “unifier and mobilizer”. The climate is tense at PSG and this Saturday’s match will be fundamental for the future of the institution and the players.
