The carpia between Argentines and Dutch is still alive after the crossing between the two in the quarterfinals of the World Cup. He proved it in the match between Manchester United and Sevilla for the Europa League, as when he had the opportunity, the striker did not hesitate to punch Gonzalo Montiel hard in the face.
It was 66 minutes. The Red Devils win 2-0 thanks to a brace from Sabitzer and, during a drive by the Spaniards, the ball reaches Cachete. Weghorst came up to put pressure on the Argentine but, as soon as he unloaded with a teammate, gave him a direct slap in the face that left the ex River lying down for a few moments.

Since it was not a direct red play, the VAR also did not call the referee, therefore “Bobo” was not penalized for the offence.
Luckily, Montiel’s strike only remained in a scare and the Argentine was able to complete the match without inconvenience. Furthermore, Sevilla ended up embittering Weghorst’s match as the Andalusian side scored two late goals and grabbed an equalizer at Old Trafford which leaves the series more than wide open.
United and Sevilla will meet again Next Thursday at 4pm in Argentina, for the rematch of the quarterfinals. Cachete and “Bobo” will face each other again and could be the protagonists of a new confrontation…
