Napoli receives Milan at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium for the second leg of the Champions League quarter-finals. Those led by Luciano Spalletti aiming straight for the Scudetto have to come back from the 1-0 draw in the first leg. The match is played from four in the afternoon in Argentina with ESPN television.

Victor Osimhen, notably absent in the first leg, is Napoli’s great hope of overcoming the draw for a side with no experience in these European heights.

For the first time in the quarterfinals of the Champions League, the semifinals are not that far away for a team led by Luciano Spalletti and virtually winner of the third championship in its history.

In the first leg, the starting goalkeeper of the French, Mike Maignan, was the great protagonist of the AC Milan triumph with a handful of great saves against the Neapolitan attack.

But in the southern city he will meet Osimhen, who did not play on Wednesday due to an adductor injury. He already played 20 minutes in the insipid goalless draw against Hellas Verona on Saturday.

“It’s good to be back,” said the Nigerian, who didn’t score but came close, with a volley that hit the crossbar.

Napoli have lost twice to Milan, 4-0 in Serie A at home on 2 April and at the San Siro on Wednesday. There, attacking midfielder Eljif Elmas started as a ‘false 9’ due to the injury of the other squad specialist, Argentinian Giovanni Simeone.

Neapolitans’ passion for Osimhen can be seen at the stadium and on the streets of the city, with supporters turning his protective face mask, which he wore since his violent clash with Inter Milan’s Skriniar last season, into a symbol of equipment .

The Neapolitan stadium, with 55,000 loyal spectators, will try to extend the party in Serie A up to the Champions League, with a first presence in the semi-final coming above all from a Milan and its seven ‘Orejonas’ in their showcases.
