Regarding how his affection for the millionaire was born, he recalled: “When I was a boy, I used to watch the games with my father and my uncle. Part of my father’s family is from Argentina and since I’m from Rivers, I started watching games with them until I became a fan.”

In turn, the Paraguayan assured that, over the years, that feeling has changed: “When I was 15 I got a tattoo because I was a big fan. Every weekend I would sit and watch the games with my father and uncle. Today I am more supportive. I sit and watch the games when I can.”

Almirón’s tattoo of River was only known last year. It was during a match against Crystal Palace in the English league, he scored a goal and to celebrate he took off his shirt, so you could see the millionaire’s shield on his left shoulder blade.
