Soccer player Vini Jr. is the victim of a new racist attack during a match in Spain and vents on social networks; artists show support
The soccer player Vini Jr. (22) was the victim of racism, once again, in the Spanish League, during the match between Real Madrid and Valencia. The attacks suffered by the athlete reverberated worldwide on Sunday, 21.
On social networks, the player vented after being attacked by fans, who threw objects at him on the pitch. He called for justice, but nothing was done and ended up being expelled from the game by the referee after confusion between the players. Vini received support from celebrities and friends, as well as important sports personalities and Brazilian clubs.
“It wasn’t the first time, nor the second nor the third. Racism is normal in ‘La Liga’. The competition thinks it’s normal, the Federation does too and the opponents encourage it. I’m very sorry. The championship that once belonged to Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Cristiano and Messi, today belongs to the racists. A beautiful nation, which welcomed me and which I love, but which agreed to export the image of a racist country to the world. I am sorry for the Spaniards who do not agree, but today, in Brazil, the Spain is known as a country of racists. And unfortunately, because of everything that happens every week, I can’t defend myself. I agree. But I’m strong and I’ll go to the end against racists. Even if far from here”wrote Vini on Instagram.
“With you brother ALWAYS”he said endrickplayer of Palmeiras. “I’m with you!”he wrote Neymar Jr. “Like you”said the rapper Djonga. “We love you brother! Nothing will shake you! In the crowd always”declared the surfer Gabriel Medina. “You are light”, praised the skater Rayssa Leal.

How long are we going to experience, in the middle of the 21st century, episodes like the one we just witnessed, once again, in La Liga?
How long will humanity remain just a spectator and an accomplice in cruel acts of racism?
How long will we need to remember that it’s a crime?
Until when… pic.twitter.com/S8LfAYhpiD
