Vinicius has published, on his social networks, a video that externalises all his suffering for the racism he suffers every time he has to step on a playing field. Tolerance ended against Valencia and a situation that has been known for some time has exploded. “It’s not football, it’s inhumane,” he reflected.

The video, which lasts just over a minute and a half, chronologically shows some occasions in which the Brazilian has suffered insults of various kinds, in different stadiums and in different competitions.

Every away game is a nasty surprise. And there have been a lot of them this season. Death wishes, hanging doll, many criminal screams… All recorded. But the conversation always falls on ‘isolated cases’, ‘a fan’. No, these are not isolated cases. They are continuous episodes distributed by different cities in Spain (and also in a television program) “, she began by detailing.

The proof is in the video. Now I ask: how many of these racists had their names and photos posted on websites? I answer to simplify: zero. No one to tell a sad story or make that fake public apology. What is missing to criminalize these people? And punish the clubs sportingly? Why don’t sponsors charge LaLiga? Don’t the TV stations bother showing this outrage every weekend? The problem is very serious and communications no longer work. Nor blame me to justify criminal acts. It’s not football, it’s inhumane“, ended.

Valencia’s decision

Valencia announced this Monday in an official statement that it will expel from its stadium “forever” to the fans who used racist insults, before and during the game, against the Brazilian Vinicius Junior in the match against Real Madrid in La Liga on Sunday.

The Valencian club explained it The police have already identified one of the fans who made “racist gestures” towards Vinicius and that “a coordinated work is being carried out to confirm the identity of other possible implicated”..

“As of the fact, we are analyzing all available records, working as quickly as possible to clarify what happened in order to act swiftly and forcefully,” the letter said.

The institution has already opened a first “disciplinary file” and assures that it will “apply the utmost severity” to members who demonstrate that they have engaged in similar racist behaviour.

“The club strongly condemns this type of behaviour, which has no place in football and society and which does not correspond to the values of Valencia CF and its fans,” the statement read.

“In this way we reaffirm our stance against racism by acting with the same force as in 2019, when a fan who made fascist gestures and salutes to Arsenal fans in a UEFA Europa League match was banned for life,” the club recalls.
