The victim has wounds to his right leg, the same sources specify.

Arce had arrived at Platense with the pass in his possession at the end of December, after playing for Unión La Calera in Chile. He has signed a contract until December 2023, with the possibility of extending the relationship for another year.

Who is Ignacio Arce

His full name is Ignacio Jesus Arce, was born in Paraná and is 31 years old. He took his first steps in football at the age of 9 at Argentinos, a neighborhood club in his hometown until he reached the lower ranks at San Martín de Tucumán.

El Mono, as his teammates called him, was part of the famous South American Under-17 team that meant Emiliano Martínez’s jump to Arsenal. Argentina lost the final to Brazil on penalties but Dibu blocked two shots from 12 paces, none other than Coutinho, who would become a real character, and Dudú, who now plays for Palmeiras, who earned him a ticket for Europe.

When he was 18, Frank Darío Kudelka gave him the chance to replace Alejandro Limia in Unión’s defeat against Patronato. That was his First Division debut, although he would not play much again but his team would get promoted.

In 2012 he played for Deportivo Merlo and the following year he would have his best season at Atlético Paraná where he saved practically the entire tournament, 19 of the 20 games that took him to B Nacional.

In 2018, Arce earned promotion with San Martín, but only made it to national media a year later when he scored a header against Unión, resulting in a heartbreaking equaliser.

Now, already in his stage at Platense, Arce is back in the news but for non-footballing reasons. Prosecutor Pablo Menteguiaga ordered an operation with the Tigre patrol command to arrest him. They accuse him of hitting his partner, a sports journalist.
