Argentine tennis player Francisco Cerúndolo clashes with Frenchman Arthur Fils for the ATP 250 final in Lyon. The Argentine reached the final after defeating England’s Cameron Norrie 6-3, 6-0 in straight sets. From Stella+.

Fran Cerúndolo, ranked 28th in the ATP world rankings, defeated Norrie (14), second favorite and reigning champion in Lyon with overwhelming tennis in one hour and 12 minutes.

The Argentine had already beaten the British in the second round of the Montecarlo Masters 1000 this year and had lost in the 2022 edition of Lyon, this time in the round of 16.

Cerúndolo, 24, chasing the title against young Frenchman Arthur Fils reached the first final of his career by defeating American Brandon Nakashima in three sets, 7-5, 4-6 and 7-6 (5).

Cerúndolo will play the third final of his career after winning the title last year at the Swedish ATP in Bastad and losing the definition of the Argentina Open in 2021 against his compatriot Diego Schwartzman.
