Surfing idol, Italo Ferreira celebrates his career achievements by revealing his inspirations
The surfer Italo Ferreira is the interviewee on the cover of SportBuzz of the month of September and revealed what his inspirations are in life and in sport. In an excerpt of the conversation, he said that he is inspired by his father and also by great names in the sport.
When asked about inspiration in his personal life, he stated: “My father. I’m very similar to him, a guy who worked his whole life, never went over anyone, always respected people. And there are two people who helped me a lot at the beginning too. Seu Beto and Dona Nininha were incredible people who welcomed me, who gave me love without looking for anything in return“.
So, when commenting on the professional side, the athlete said: “When I got into the sport, there were some guys I looked up to. Mick Fanning, Kelly Slater… I watched a lot of surfing videos. Today it’s there on YouTube, those edited videos (laughs), but in the past they were those videos lasting an hour and a half. As a child, I would watch all day and then go into the water to surf. In Brazil, there were some guys. Fábio Gouveia, who was from the Northeast, was already prominent as well. Adriano [de Souza] later on, when I started to enter the access championships and then the elite. And then Gabriel came along, who really started to win championships and people saw that it was possible to compete with the rest of the world. Today, we are a powerhouse and a victorious generation, we are breaking records, making history and I am very grateful to be part of this“. Check out the full interview with Ítalo Ferreira here.
Italo Ferreira shows his house
Not long ago, the surfer Italo Ferreira took a different tour of his home. Skating around his residence located in Baía Formosa, in Rio Grande do Norte, the multi-time champion drew praise, both for his beautiful home and his skill on the board outside of the water.
Skateboarding around the house’s almost 550 m², Ítalo strolled around the balcony, living room and bedroom, showing off the decoration he chose. With neutral tones, highlighting the memorial created by the athlete, displaying boards, trophies, medals, uniforms and pictures with photos of his most important competitions.
Without many walls dividing the spaces, the spaciousness of the place caught attention, next to his bed, which faces the sea.
