American football star Tom Brady takes minority share in traditional English club
Taking risks in new sports! The greatest player in the history of American football, Tom Brady, decided to leave his bubble and go to the neighboring sport with more visibility. The ex-husband of the Brazilian model Gisele Bundchenwho is retired, announced this Thursday, 3rd, that he is now part of the ownership group of Birmingham City, a traditional club in England, which is currently in the second division.
According to the club, Tom Brady will be the chairman of the Birmingham Advisory Board, which has not competed among the best in the first division for more than ten years, the last time being in the 2010/11 season. The oval ball star also became one of the partners in the group of American businessmen that controls the team.
“Birmingham City is an iconic club with so much history and passion. And being part of the Blues is a true honor for me. Birmingham is built on teamwork and determination and I’m excited to work alongside the board, management and players to make our club second to none.”said Tom Brady.
“I’ve been part of some incredible teams and I’m looking forward to applying my perspective to create the same success here in Birmingham”added the American football star, through a video shared on all social networks by the English club.

Birmingham City is one of the oldest clubs in the world, having been founded in 1875 and is named after one of the main cities in England. However, in all this time, the team never won an English Championship and its most relevant title was in the 2010/11 season, in which it won the League Cup, but ended up relegated from the Premier League. Since then, he has never returned to the country’s football elite.
Tom Brady has been retired since February of this year. At 45 years old, the athlete is the record holder for Super Bowl titles, having won seven in total. To give you an idea, not even an entire NFL team has more titles than the former quarterback.
Birmingham said Tom Brady will lend his experience to the club, working as a consultant to scientific departments. “As chair of the Advisory Board, Brady will apply his extensive experience and leadership expertise across multiple components of the club, including working alongside the sports science department to advise on health, nutrition, wellness and recovery systems and programs. Additionally, Brady will work closely with the Board and management team on global marketing efforts and identifying new commercial partnership opportunities for the club.”said the club, in an official note.
