Tom Brady says children are his priority and ‘would kill him’ if he played football again

Tom Brady, 46 years old, can no longer consider returning to the field and currently, his priority is to be with his family. The former American football player joked during his podcast Let’s Go that his family ‘would kill him if he ever played in the NFL again.’

Father of three children, Jack16 years old, from his former relationship with actress Bridget Moyanahan; Benjamin13, and Vivian Lake10, fruits of his marriage with Gisele Bundchenof 43. “I’m not coming out of retirement”, said the former athlete. “My parents would call me, my kids would call. They would kill me. I wouldn’t be around tonight”the player joked.

It all started when one of the guests joked that the audience would take off if he announced his return. “Like I said, you can only cancel retirement once. And I used it all”, still said Tom Brady. In February 2022, the athlete had announced his retirement from the sport, but ended up changing his mind with the start of a new season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

This choice was something that ended up shaking his marriage with Gisele even more. “There were problems in the marriage because of his decision to cancel retirement. Gisele was always the one with the children”a source at the time told Page Six.

“They agreed that he would retire to focus on his family, but he changed his mind,” he added. A few months later, in October 2022, Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady announced their divorce after 13 years of marriage.

After their split, the model and the NFL star reached an amicable co-parenting agreement. Now that he is retired, the athlete spends much more time with his children.

Recently, Gisele declared that she was disappointed with the relationship and the way it ended, although she is at peace with its outcome.

In an interview with the CBS News Sunday Morning program, which will air next Sunday, the 24th, Gisele confessed that she had hopes of making her relationship with the athlete work, but that she does not regret having divorced the father of her children. She said she would not change anything in her life, including her marriage and her separation.

My parents have been married for 50 years, and I really wanted that to happen,” said the model. “But I think you have to accept, you know, sometimes it’s the way you are in your 20s, sometimes you grow up together, sometimes you grow apart.”
