It all started when one of the guests joked that the audience would take off if he announced his return. “Like I said, you can only cancel retirement once. And I used it all”, still said Tom Brady. In February 2022, the athlete had announced his retirement from the sport, but ended up changing his mind with the start of a new season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
This choice was something that ended up shaking his marriage with Gisele even more. “There were problems in the marriage because of his decision to cancel retirement. Gisele was always the one with the children”a source at the time told Page Six.

“They agreed that he would retire to focus on his family, but he changed his mind,” he added. A few months later, in October 2022, Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady announced their divorce after 13 years of marriage.
After their split, the model and the NFL star reached an amicable co-parenting agreement. Now that he is retired, the athlete spends much more time with his children.
