Born in São Paulo, Christian was a professional bodybuilder in the ‘Open’ category, which does not establish weight limits in competitions. On his official Instagram profile, where he had more than 100 thousand followers, the athlete shared details of his intense training routine, nutrition and supplements, in addition to his achievements in national and international competitions.

In July of this year, the athlete used social media to celebrate a great achievement in his professional life. Christian became champion of Musclecontest Brazil 2023, one of the main national bodybuilding championships, and therefore won the card to join the International Federation of Bodybuilding & Fitness.

In addition to his achievements, Christian also shared rare glimpses of his marriage with Viviane Torressince he worked alongside his wife: “You deserve the world and everything good in it. An incredible woman, with a huge heart full of good intentions, thank you for everything in these 11 years together”, says one of the athlete’s last publications with his beloved.

In fact, the news of his death was confirmed by Viviane, who left a farewell note to her husband on her profile: “It’s It is with great sadness that I come to say that today God has taken my love, Christian Figueiredo, to his side. A husband, son, athlete brother, friend who left an incredible legacy”, he declared.

What happened to Christian Figueiredo?

Friends of Christian Figueiredo used social media to pay their last respects. In some of the publications, details about the bodybuilder’s death were revealed, although its cause has not yet been officially confirmed. However, it was reported that the athlete underwent surgery which, although considered ‘simple’, resulted in unexpected complications.

Among the reports, friends said that Christian suffered a stroke, followed by cardiac arrest. The athlete was resuscitated, but could not resist and died at the age of 29 at the Hospital das Clínicas in São Paulo, last Monday, the 16th. According to the statement released by the athlete’s wife, the wake will take place this Tuesday, the 17th, at 2:30 pm at the Valle dos Reis cemetery.
