Javier Milei asks in the Omnibus Law to authorize the “unlimited” resale of tickets at sporting events

Inside chapter 1 of the title “Economic Deregulation”is specified in an initial instance the repeal of Article 25 of the aforementioned law which specifies it “The person selling tickets who clearly does not offer all the available seats, or sells them on conditions different from those made known by the organizer of the show, is punished by imprisonment for five to fifteen days.”

Plus, he adds it “Whoever resells them, in such a way as to give rise to disorder, gatherings or accidents, will be punished by imprisonment for five to fifteen days”.

It then promotes the inclusion of article 48 bis in law 23.184, which highlights: “Sports tickets may be resold without limits on the number of times this operation may be carried out. The ticket sales manager may not impose restrictions on such resale. In the case of nominative tickets, the ticket sales manager must allow them to be resold. resale through an electronic mechanism. For sales through this system, sports entities may charge a commission that does not exceed 5% of the agreed price, but they cannot limit their prices.”.

Currently, most of the most famous clubs in the Professional League usually fill their stadiums with season ticket holders and members, so they usually do not sell tickets that are not nominal (with affiliation information). There are other institutions that, if the seats are not filled with members, allow the sale of tickets to “non-members”.
