Raiola’s family denied that on Thursday wrong informationsent by many Italian media, on the death of the agent, whose poor state of health had been known for several months.

The native of Nocera Inferiore, near Naples, announced on January 12 that he was spending medical tests that require anesthesiawithout saying more.

Raiola, who grew up in the Netherlands, has established himself as one of the most influential agents in the world, feared by clubs as much as his clients love him.

He remains famous for the outsized triple commission won for Pogba’s move in 2016 from Juventus Turin to Manchester United, which cost around 49 million euros, according to documents leaked to the press the following year.
