A luxury hotel, 16 courts and a state-of-the-art gym: all the details of River’s preseason in the United States

River began work this Saturday and thus launched its 2024. The team led by Martín Demichelis resumed training at the RiverCamp in Ezeiza, where the players will undergo medical studies and physical tests in the morning and train in the afternoon. And after dinner, early Sunday morning, he left for Orlando on a direct flight. Once they arrived in the United States, they headed to Tampa, a city in Florida where they will carry out the preseason.

There they remained in the IMG Academy, a property with first class amenities. It is located just yards from the Sarasota Bay lagoon and features 16 natural grass soccer fields, modern locker rooms, offices, a luxury hotel called Legacy and a two-story state-of-the-art gym.

In turn, the academy enjoys an excellent reputation in the field of neuroscience thanks to its training sessions on mental performance and vision, displays for cognitive perception, awareness and reaction tests and tools for sports vision practice.

These are essential aspects on which River has been working for several years with Sandra Rossi, first, and now with Mariela Arangio in the squad since Rossi remained head of the club’s neuroscience department.

On the other hand, during the preparatory work and as happened in the last pre-season, El Millonario will also play a series of friendly matches. For now the only one confirmed is the one who will play on Wednesday 17 January against Rayados de Monterrey. And there would be another one with America from Mexico. Both will be in Dallas.

The return will be between the 21st and 22nd of this month and upon return the possibility of another match against Gimnasia y Tiro de Salta, at the Pedro Martearena stadium, has been evaluated, but there is no date yet. They would be very honest with the start of the League Cup, in which River will debut against Argentinos in the last weekend of January.
